The Notus Ventilator – Collaboration during COVID-19
Collaboration came to the fore during the medical crisis that was Covid during 2020-21. Campagno Engineering were quite humbled to be one of several key players in the NOTUS Ventilator Project, an Australian Government-backed emergency ventilator program in response to the pandemic.
Campagno Engineering supplied approximately 30 complex components, including optic tube assembly, for the project.
These subassemblies formed part of a larger assembly completed by Planet Innovation, with 2,000 of the ventilators delivered by August of 2020.

CAMPAGNO AND MOGLabs
Laser focused sub assembly from its very inception
Our collaboration with MOG Laboratories Pty Ltd (MOGLabs) goes back to 2008 and a prototype laser. From this initial order, the relationship and collaboration between our companies has grown in confidence to facilitate 100 laser system orders at a time.
Our attention to exacting detail was deployed on this subassembly of laser beam barrels, and consequently a further assembly of chassis parts.
This stage of the production is crucial to the final stages which MOGLabs completes in-house, where final assembly and laser beam calibration is concluded.
The commercialisation globally by MOGLabs of this laser measurement device for basic and applied research has been outstanding, comprising predominantly export sales for world-leading universities, government labs and industrial partners in laser electronics, quantum computing and communications.
Campagno Engineering has been extraordinarily proud to have partnered with MOGLabs since the company’s inception, showcasing this country’s innovation and manufacturing on a global stage. For us, it’s another example of a repeating scenario where early work at the prototype stage evolves into sub-assembly contract manufacturing duties.
